Topic 14: Founding Father's

Post  Admin on Mon Nov 15, 2010 7:18 am

Pick your favorite founding father. (Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, John Jay, James Madison, and Alexander Hamilton)
Tell me why they are your favorite, one question you'd like to ask them, one thing you'd like to tell them about the future, and what activity you would like to do with them (sport/watch a movie/shopping/etc.)

Thomas Jefferson, for writing a lot of the Declaration of Independence.
I'd like to ask him why he would call himself a Christian and yet not acknowledge the miracles of Jesus.
I would like to discuss theology with him.

1.My favorite Founding Father is Ben Franklin.
2.He's my favorite because he wanted the Turkey to be the bird of the U.S.A. instead of the Bald Eagle.
3.One question i'd like to ask him is if the key on the kite experiment was real or was he just doing it to fool that other guy.
4.I'd like to tell him that we've had a man land on the moon and we've successfully sent people to outer space and back.
5.A sport i'd love to play with Ben would be basketball because it was like a game children used to play with a basket when he was a child.

My favorite founding father is Benjamin Franklin. I like him because he made electricity. The one question I would like to ask them is what diseases there were. In the future there are many more forms of electricity. I would like to fly a kite with him.

My favorite founding father is John Adams because helped write the constitution. What was your term in office like? In the future we have cars and paved roads that us Americans can drive on and go place to place. The activity i would do with John Adams is play soccer with him and his family.

My founding father would have to be George washington. George Washington would be my founding father because he was the first president, because he's George Washington. I would like to ask him what it was like to be the first president. What i would like to tell him about the future is that we have cars that run on gas, airplanes, and better looking clothing. The activity i would like to do with him is play him in basketball.

My favorite founding father is George Washington because he was the first president and beat the British and he built a strong national government. I would like to ask him why he served only one term since he was so great. I'd like to tell him how the government has gone downhill for the pass couple of years. I would want to go to a history museum with him.

Benjamin Franklin

Post  Hannah on Mon Nov 15, 2010 7:37 am

I choose Benjamin Franklin because he was super smart for inventing electricity. Also I would like to tell him that today we have internet and I would like to let him use it. Also i would like to take him shopping for electronics since he would know a lot about that kind of stuff and could probably get me a good deal. (:

My favorite founding father is Ben Franklin. He is my favorite for creating electricity. I would like to ask him about his experiment with the key. I would like to thank & tell them about how he made a big change & how important he is. I would take him out for dinner to get to know him.

Founding Fathers

Post  DaKicker on Mon Nov 15, 2010 7:46 am

I would have to say that Benj Franklin is my favorite just because had a carriage that was pulled by people instead of horses. I would ask him what inspired him to do the stuff that he did... and things... But then I would tell him everything about the future cuz it would be funny to see him freak out. And then we could make a really cool montage with 80's music of us inventing electricity together and we could high-five each other at the end.
